Media Advisory – April 3, 2018 – Ottawa – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Media are invited to attend a transfer of command ceremony where the Canadian Combat Support Brigade (CCSB) will welcome 4 Engineer Support Regiment, 4th Artillery (General Support) and 21 Electronic Warfare Regiment to the formation at the 5th Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown.

The CCSB is the Canadian Army’s newest brigade that provides the Canadian Armed Forces with tactical level Information Operations, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Target acquisition including Land Electronic Warfare, and General construction engineering capabilities. Following the transfer of command ceremony, the brigade will be at its full strength.

What: Transfer of Command Ceremony for the Canadian Combat Support Brigade.

When: Thursday, April 5th at 9:00 a.m.

Where: The Main Drill Hall at 5th Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown.

Who: The ceremony will be presided over by Lieutenant-General Paul F. Wynnyk, Commander of the Canadian Army and will be attended by Brigadier-General Derek A. Macaulay, Commander of the 5th Canadian Division and Colonel Marc Lafortune, Commander of the Canadian Combat Support Brigade.
